Usually we do not associate soups with summers. They have always been considered as a winter dish. But, this lauki (a summer vegetable) soup will make you feel light. It has been prepared as a nutritious continental style of soup. It also helps to enhance your immunity as it is rich in Zinc and vitamin C.

Ingredients:
- 1 Cup bottle gourd- chopped (lauki)
- Garlic- 3 cloves (lahasun)
- 2 table spoon oats
- Black pepper powder
- Oregano seasoning
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Water
Method:
- Heat the pan and add 1 teaspoon olive oil, garlic and chopped bottle gourd and Sauté.
- Add 1 cup water, cover the pan and let the bottle gourd cook and get tender.
- Blend the whole in a puree.
- Add 2 table spoon oats and 1 cup milk. Bring to a boil.
- Add salt and black pepper powder and oregano seasoning.
- Serve hot.
DCN TIP
Add Almond milk in place of the normal milk if you are lactose intolerant or have any resistance issues.
