Tulsi leaves and Giloy stems have been mentioned in Ayurveda as being very beneficial for warding off flu/cold/infections/cough and running nose. These time-tested herbs have been used in India for generations and we just need to get back to them. Here, I have created a concoction using tulsi, giloy and other herbs that works as a wonderful immunity booster. Jaggery helps to mask the taste as well provide various minerals and vitamins.
Ingredients:
- 10-15 Tulsi leaves
- 1 stick Giloy (Approximately 10 cm long)
- Small cube of ginger
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- 2-3 Cloves
- 1 Stick cinnamon (3-4 cm long)
- 3 Gms jaggery
- 2 Cups water
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients into the water, except jaggery.
- Boil all the above for 15 minutes till the water reduces.
- Add jaggery to it and strain.
- Drink it lukewarm or hot as you would prefer.
