Oat Milk

Oat milk can be a good substitute for cow’s milk. It’s healthy, low fat, dairy free and vegan.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole rolled oats
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 Pinch Sea salt

Direction

  • Soak the oats in water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Drain the oats and wash them. Discard the soaking water.
  • Blend the oats with 3 cups of clean water in a blender.
  • Strain the milk using a strainer.
  • Oat milk will stay fresh in a sealed container.

DCN TIP

One can flavor it with vanilla extract or cinnamon powder
