Amla is a super food, but has a limited supply till winters only. It is an excellent source of vitamin-c and rich in antioxidants. One of the yummy ways to consume Amla in summers is by preparing Amla candy during the months of February or till late March.
This makes it a wonderful option from kids till elders to gain multiple healthy benefits like:-
- Boosting Immunity to fight infections like cold and cough.
- Helps in issues related with digestion like bloating, gastritis and etc.
- Excellent for skin and hair.
- Purification of blood.
- These Amla candies are natural and a very healthy substitute for your sugar cravings.
But, I would like to add that this recipe of Amla Candy have Bura sugar i.e. – unprocessed sugar in it. Bura sugar is a healthier option compared to white sugar because it possesses certain minerals and molasses but have the same amount of calories. Therefore, people like diabetics and the weight watchers should try to include Amla in form of salted sun dried or the juice in place of candy.
