Haven’t your mouth watered at the sight of crispy roadside chillas or the steamy hot serving of the same during the wedding season. Worry not as health can be draped in these chillas along with the taste part of it.
Serves – 2
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp Oats
- 4 tbsp Green moong sabut
- 1 tbsp Arhar dal
- 1 tbsp Chana dal
- ½ tsp – Jeera
- Asafoetida (Hing)-1 pinch
- Green chillies- 2 – finely chopped(hari mirch)
- Ginger chopped- very little
- Onion chopped-1/2 small onion
- Turmeric powder-as per taste
- Coriander leaves-1 teaspoon chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil-1 teaspoon
Method:
- Soak all the dals in water for 3-4 hours.
- Grind the dal, oats, green chillies, jeera, ginger and salt to a slightly thick paste. It should be as thick as a dosa batter.
- Pour this dal batter into the bowl.
- Heat a non-stick Pan and pour 1 portion of batter in centre of the pan, swirl around and make medium sized chilla.
- Your Chillas are hence ready to be served hot.
