Kala Chana Chilla

This amazing chilla has goodness of whole kala Chana legume, the added zucchini makes it crispier and a wholesome treat full of nutrition. Good for diabetics.

Makes 2-3 chilla

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cup kala chana atta
  • 1 Green chili chopped
  • ½ Cup grated zucchini/bottle gourd
  • 1 Small onion chopped
  • Black pepper (¼ tsp)
  • Roasted cumin powder (¼ tsp)
  • Grated ginger (½ tsp)
  • ¼ Teaspoon of fennel seeds
  • Water (½ – 1 cup)
  • Pink himalayan salt (as per taste)

Method:

  1. Take kala chana atta in a bowl and add all the ingredients like grated zucchini, onion, green chili, salt etc. alongwith water.
  2. Make a smooth batter.
  3. Prepare chilla on non stick tawa.
  4. Serve it hot.

DCN TIP

One can substitute zucchini with any available seasonal vegetable like mushroom, spinach or tomato puree.
