This amazing chilla has goodness of whole kala Chana legume, the added zucchini makes it crispier and a wholesome treat full of nutrition. Good for diabetics.
Makes 2-3 chilla
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup kala chana atta
- 1 Green chili chopped
- ½ Cup grated zucchini/bottle gourd
- 1 Small onion chopped
- Black pepper (¼ tsp)
- Roasted cumin powder (¼ tsp)
- Grated ginger (½ tsp)
- ¼ Teaspoon of fennel seeds
- Water (½ – 1 cup)
- Pink himalayan salt (as per taste)
Method:
- Take kala chana atta in a bowl and add all the ingredients like grated zucchini, onion, green chili, salt etc. alongwith water.
- Make a smooth batter.
- Prepare chilla on non stick tawa.
- Serve it hot.

One can substitute zucchini with any available seasonal vegetable like mushroom, spinach or tomato puree.
